Kulturnatten (Culture Night) in Copenhagen was full of fun and entertaining experiences taking place throughout the city. Museums, libraries, educational establishments, theaters, musical venues, churches and many other institutions open their doors to the public. 2015 celebrates Copenhagen's 23rd Culture Night!

The extensive Flora Danica botanical Encyclopedia was commissioned by King Frederik V in 1761. It consisted of thousands of engraved copper plates with hand-coloured illustrations, accurately representing Danish wild flowers and plants in size and details.
