Kulturnatten (Culture Night) in Copenhagen was full of fun and entertaining experiences taking place throughout the city. Museums, libraries, educational establishments, theaters, musical venues, churches and many other institutions open their doors to the public. 2015 celebrates Copenhagen's 23rd Culture Night!

One of my first stops was Christianborg Palace, which now serves as Denmark's Parliament building. I always find it interesting to walk through history in these great buildings.

The extensive Flora Danica botanical Encyclopedia was commissioned by King Frederik V in 1761. It consisted of thousands of engraved copper plates with hand-coloured illustrations, accurately representing Danish wild flowers and plants in size and details.

It was a real treat to listen to the Den Kongelige Livgardes Musikkorps!

Another favorite place is the Round Tower. It remains Europe's oldest functioning observatory, but most visitors enjoy simply climbing the ramp for great views of Copenhagen.

I've enjoyed many walks through the Botanic Garden during my stay in Copenhagen. It was a thrill to see the Palm House in a kaleidoscope of color!
